This means:
- An OBC person can sell, gift or transfer land to anyone (general, OBC, SC/ST) without special permission.
- Buyers of OBC land face no extra restrictions.
Why? OBC reservation mainly applies to jobs, education and politics. Land laws give special protection only to SC/ST to prevent poverty and exploitation. Government land allotment (patta) for OBC does not come with special restrictions.
